My topic is how Christams can affect our diet and health and my objective is to come up with a low fat alternative to turkey and all the trimming?
My menu.
Turkey casserole.
upsidedown cake./ basic victoria sponge.
ginger bread men.
lemon iced tea and ginger ale.
Now would you want to swap your Christmas dinner for that.??
Or do you say blow the diet give us the turkey.

I do get your poi nt but im not sure many people would miss out on a proper roast dinner! I think that the best way to control your diet over christmas is to not over indulge the weeks leading up to christmas then you can enjoy anything you like on the day. If i was trying to be healthy i would probably have turkey without the skin on as turkey is actually a healthy meat. Then i would cook the potatoes with fry light and garlic instead of using loads of oil. then a ice lolly for dessert. hope this is helpfull! good luck with your dt work

I agree with the first post. Plus, everything in moderation. I’ve gone to cooking just the parts of the turkey that my family likes (1 breast and two thighs), rather than a whole turkey. For dessert I make it in individual ramekins, and only enough for one serving each. I say go for it, but watch your intake.
